From Requirement to Local Supply

For us, the sourcing process starts with a conversation, not simply with a product name. A customer may approach us knowing exactly what material is required, or they may have only part of the information available. In some cases, the product is already familiar and the requirement is straightforward. In others, the specification, quantity, origin or supplier preference may need to be discussed before we can properly understand what should be sourced.

That is why we prefer to start by understanding the requirement clearly.

Once we have the necessary information, we look at the sourcing possibilities and consider what may be suitable for that particular requirement. This can involve checking available sources, communicating with suppliers, clarifying product details and discussing the practical aspects of the supply.

How the Process Works

1. We Receive the Requirement
The first step is to understand what the customer is looking for. We collect the available information, such as the product name, specification, required quantity, preferred country of origin and any manufacturer or supplier preference.

The more clearly a requirement is explained, the easier it is for us to understand what needs to be sourced.

2. We Review the Details
We then look more closely at the information provided. A product name alone may not always be enough. Specification, grade, quantity, origin and other details can affect the available sourcing options.

Where something is unclear, we may need to ask for additional information before moving ahead.

3. We Explore the Market
Once the requirement is understood, we explore possible international sources.

Depending on the product, this may involve looking at suppliers from China, India, South Korea, Singapore, the USA or other international markets. We consider the requirement first rather than limiting the search to a particular country.

4. We Communicate With Suppliers
When a potential source is identified, supplier communication becomes an important part of the process.

We may discuss product availability, specifications, quantity, country of origin and other relevant commercial details. If further clarification is needed, we work through those points before deciding whether the source is suitable for the requirement.

5. We Coordinate the Import Arrangement
When a suitable sourcing option is available and the business terms are agreed, the necessary import and supply arrangements are coordinated.

The exact process can vary depending on the product, source, quantity and nature of the transaction. Our approach is therefore practical rather than based on one fixed process for every enquiry.

6. We Arrange Local Supply
After the required material has been sourced and the import process is completed, the product is arranged for supply within Bangladesh according to the agreed business arrangement.

Our role is to keep the process connected from the initial requirement through sourcing and import to the final local supply.

Not Every Requirement Is the Same
One of the things we have learned through our work is that sourcing cannot always be handled in exactly the same way.

A regular requirement may need only a straightforward source check. A new product may require more supplier communication. A specific country-of-origin preference may narrow the available options. A technical specification may require additional clarification before a supplier can be approached.

For this reason, we look at each requirement on its own terms.

We do not simply ask, “Do we have this product?” We first try to understand what exactly is required, where it may be sourced, and what information is needed to move the discussion forward.
